Knowledge partner

KWA Bedrijfsadviseurs B.V. has been a knowledge partner of the Safety Culture Ladder (SCL) from the very beginning. We support organisations in developing their safety culture in line with the themes of the SCL.

KWA endorses the principles of the SCL: safety is not achieved through rules alone, but through the day-to-day actions of people at all levels of the organisation. Building a safety culture means focusing on leadership, dialogue, learning and collaboration.

The focus here is not on meeting formal requirements, but on highlighting and reinforcing safe behaviour in line with the organisation’s level of ambition.

KWA’s contribution as a knowledge partner

As a knowledge partner, KWA makes the following contributions to the Safety Culture Ladder:

  • provide guidance and advice to organisations on the application of the SCL;
  • sharing practical experience of applying the SCL across a range of sectors;
  • organising webinars and knowledge-sharing sessions on safety culture, behavioural development and certification in accordance with the SCL certification scheme;
  • providing substantive input for the further development and clarification of the standard, based on experience gained from audits, guidance programmes and self-assessments.
