Per 1 June 2025 introduce renewed and accessible products that support organisations in improving their safety and health culture in an even more effective way. With this innovation, we make the Safety Culture Ladder more applicable to small organisations.

ASA becomes SA (Self Assessment)
The Approved Self Assessment (ASA) expires and gives way to a powerful new product: SA (Self Assessment). Organisations start working independently, without an external audit. SA offers an accessible yet valuable introduction to the SCL- via the familiar web tool, including GAP analysis, behavioural objectives and a formal self-declaration.

SCL Light for small organisations
(5 to 50 employees (own employees, including hiring))
A specially tailored programme focusing on practical feasibility as well as behavioural change. More focus on effect and impact. With a mix of internal audits, self-declaration and concrete behavioural objectives. In organisations that demonstrate in year 2 of the audit cycle that the behavioural objectives have been achieved and that improvements are made in terms of attitude and behaviour, the external audit in year 3 is dropped. To qualify for this SCL product, the organisation must have or employ an internal auditor who has attended the NEN training course 'Internal Safety Awareness Testing with the Safety Culture Ladder'. The internal auditor may also be hired via e.g. a trade association)

Custom SCL Light for larger organisations
The current SCL Light is also undergoing innovations. There will be more emphasis on the effect of efforts instead of paper plans. This will clearly show whether behaviour really changes - after all, that is what it is all about. To do this, organisations must formulate behavioural objectives in terms of attitude and behaviour. In subsequent years, an auditor assesses whether these objectives have been achieved. No worries! We make it easy for you. We have built this change into the web tool, so you are taken through this change step by step.

Why these changes?
Because safety and health culture is about people, behaviour and continuous learning. Not just about tick boxes. The revamped products fit that even better.
