If you no longer meet the requirements for the step in question during the audit in Year 2 or 3, your certificate will not be valid anymore. If the audit shows that you have met the requirements for a lower step, a new certificate will be issued for that lower step. You might also find that you meet the requirements to progress to a higher step on the ladder in Year 2 or 3. In this situation, you will be issued with a new certificate, which will be valid for three years. Your organisation will also have the opportunity to switch from the SCL Original product to the SCL product in Year 2. You will then receive a new certificate with a remaining validity of two years.
