NEN is committed to strengthening the safety culture within organisations. And this is bearing fruit. NEN has so far conducted a series of successful auditor training courses on the Safety Culture Ladder, the tool that helps companies assess and improve their safety culture.
These training courses are specifically designed to equip auditors with the knowledge and skills needed to assess safety culture within companies in accordance with the SCL. Participants learn how to apply the principles of the SCL and how to sharpen their observation techniques, report and present results effectively.
Impressive milestone
A notable milestone in this journey is the in-service training of auditors on the 2.0 version of the Safety Culture Ladder. On 1 September 2023, the launch of SCL 2.0 took place and in-service training started. New auditors were and are also being trained on SCL 2.0.
Currently, 271 auditors are fully equipped to correctly interpret and apply the SCL 2.0 during their audits. This enables them to give an objective assessment of the safety culture present within organisations.
